It's week 6 and I'm beginning to worry more and more about how my project is going to end. This was a lot harder than I initially thought, and I don't believe this project will result in success. It's quite disappointing because I let my hope get in the way, but I think if I put forth a bit more effort I could find a tiny bit of success and knowledge from this project.
This is my second week trying out coding games on Hour of Code. I have remade games such as Flappy Bird and Pong using javascript. The games I played were a bit easier than using other coding tools. I just wish there were more games that would allow you to remake simple games, because I find it to be good practice. This week I also tried out playing Code Combat, which taught me how to use Python, Python is a coding language that, compared to others, is fairly easy to learn. I only made it through the first world so it didn't get to complicated. I do hope to find more games for next week though,

It's week 5 and I've got a sudden motivation to continue my project, which is great. I've been listening to interviews of game devs and the process of coding and creating a game. I found it really interesting to listen to how the devs behind the game worked and tried so many different things to make the game work how they wanted it to. It was amazing to realize how much effort and time truly goes into these games and it made me appreciate them a lot more. I want to keep doing the project and put effort into it and starting something I can be proud of.
I'm excited to continue learning how to code, so I can be just like the people I look up to. If I continue to pull this project off I know it will be a huge success. After going through the genius hour projects my friends in other classes were making, I've been doubting myself and my abilities to finish this project in a span of 12 weeks. I regret not doing a project that involved writing a novel or photography, both things I love very much. I feel like it would be too late to start a new project, seeing as I've already started messing around with sprites and began to mess around with Game Maker Studio. I don't want to put off learning how to code, but this project isn't as interesting as I was initially hoping.
